With each gentle kiss on his tiny head, this family is falling more and more in love with baby Louis. Nine months is a long wait. If you’ve ever anticipated meeting your little one, every passing day before their arrival brings deeper emotion and longing. It also makes any mom or dad wonder… will he be feisty or relaxed, determined or laid back, calm or full of lungs that pierce this world to announce that he is here and ready to be loved?
Precious Louis arrived on February 20, 2018… seven pounds, eleven ounces… twenty one inches long. He is welcomed by mom, dad and big brother, H. I think you’ll enjoy this brief conversation I had with Louis’ proud mama.
Were you surprised it was another boy?
We didn’t find out until delivery and everyone from family and friends to people on the street were saying girl, but I honestly had no clue/feeling. I was happy to have another boy and looking back kinda of was leaning towards boy since everyone was saying girl.
Where was he delivered?
Sky Ridge Medical Center
What will be the most memorable part of his delivery?
How calm and relaxing it was after being so terrified leading up to having another c-section. I didn’t have to go through labor so I was happy, calm, relaxed and wide awake to enjoy in it all.
Describe Louis’s personality
He is a snuggler who loves being warm and wrapped up tight.
What does big brother think of his new baby?
Happy to be a big brother but also bummed that he isn’t able to go out on lots of adventures with mom since he is a little explorer.
Was has been the biggest adjustment since Louis has arrived?
The biggest adjustment is not being able to take both boys out of the house on my own. I am still recovering and am learning my limitations with a newborn again after having such flexibility and freedom taking Henrik to museum and parks daily.
It is without a doubt that Louis is a lucky boy to have this wonderful family to love and care for him. Congrats, B Family! I hope every day is treasured.
