She entered the world as a six pound, twelve ounce package of sweetness and full of life!  Meet little Sutton.  Her adorable name will match the adorable ways she will bring life and joy to this family.  The honor of being welcomed into a family’s home for such an incredible time in their lives will forever be etched into my heart with every newborn session.

Here’s more about Sutton from Mom!

Tell me about the anticipation of her arrival.

I think my husband was mostly nervous and I was mostly excited! We were trying for a while to get pregnant and both were somewhat partial to a girl, so we felt very grateful it was happening for us!

How was your delivery experience?

I had a scheduled induction due to my work/maternity leave schedule. It was slow going at first and I made no progress for the first 12 hours after being admitted. Finally things started to move along and I made it about 4 hours with contractions every 1-3 minutes before wanting an epidural. My first epidural failed and by the time the anesthesiologist put another one in I was dilated to 10 cm and it was time to push! Thankfully I only pushed for 12 minutes and she was here. My husband was right in the action holding one of my legs and he cut the umbilical cord! Truly a surreal experience.

What does adding Sutton to your family of three mean to you?

Everything. We’ve wanted to expand our family for a long time and feel so honored that we get to be her parents!

Describe her personality.

I think she’s quite vivacious. She makes lots of little noises!

Little Sutton and family, congratulations!  Enjoy every day as she grows both bigger and stronger, and full of life.
