Meet the M Family! A sweet bunch that reminds me of my own precious (rambunctious, smelly, loud) three teenage boys! Not that the M Family resembles all of this… just that this sweet mom is outnumbered, and surrounded by her guys who have now grown, and treat her like a queen. It’s like a day in my life. I just love that this family looked me up after many years of playing soccer together so that I could be a part of these incredible snap shots in time. Here’s more from Mom!
How far apart in age are your boys?
J is 21 months older than the twins.
What are their interests, hobbies, etc?
The boys enjoyed playing all kinds of sports growing up as well as hanging out with friends. Video games have also been a part of their lives. In addition, they enjoy experiencing the rural life in Montana when we visit family.
What do you enjoy doing together?
When they are participating in sports, that takes up much of our time. But as their participation lessened, we instituted Forced Family Fun where we intentionally spend time together in an activity. We try to be creative and make it something new and different. It can be anything from trying out VooDoo Donuts, volunteering at a not-for-profit, painting ceramics for family gifts, going for a hike in the mountains, sledding on the sand dunes, taking our first family photos, etc.
What makes those boys laugh?
They’ve always had a great group of friends. When their competitive spirit isn’t being challenged with their friends, their group can always come up with something to laugh at. It’s so fun to listen to them all! As they’ve grown into their teen years, seeing who can give Mom the biggest shock value is also entertaining for them. And National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation always provides an abundance of laughs each year.
Describe what your family means to you.
Blessings upon blessings. Love in the deepest part of my soul. Grace. Laughter. Joy. Hugs. Mistakes. More grace. Faith. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and the many friends that share our lives. Special bonds. Forgiveness. Smiles. Dirty socks. Occasional tears, and a God that makes me feel like the richest person in the world!
What more needs to be said? What a joy filled session! M Family, enjoy your sneak peek!
