Baby Smash Cake Indoor Studio Photography | Kennedy

Happy birthday, Kennedy!  Today she turns one.  I hope it’s a little birthday treat for her family to get Kennedy’s sneak peek on this special day.  There’s a mix of emotions celebrating baby’s first birthday.  One the one hand, the laughs, the giggles, the playfulness, all make this stage incredible!  The way they explore everything, and the wonder of showing them something new they’ve never seen before are memories us parents cherish for a lifetime.  On the other hand, you may wish time would stop.  Accepting new stages can be a challenge.  Soon, you won’t be calling them a baby any longer.  Soon, they’ll give up being on their hands and knees to crawl when they discover the joy of walking.  These realities make it all feel a little bittersweet.

Here’s more about Kennedy from her Mom:

What makes Kennedy smile?

Kennedy smiles at the sight of her Mommy and Daddy. She is truly her Mommy’s Girl and Daddy’s World. She also loves seeing all of her family on FaceTime.

What are some of her favorite things to do?

Kennedy loves crawling all over her Mommy, as well as playing with her Daddy. She also enjoys her bedtime stories with Daddy.

How has her personality changed/developed in her first year?

Kennedy came into this world a little over 3 weeks early. She spent 8 days in the NICU and another 3 weeks on oxygen, but through it all she has always been a happy go lucky, smiling girl. Her happy, carefree, easy going and silly personality has become more infectious over time with her ever present smile and constant giggles.

What milestones has she recently accomplished?

Kennedy is a girl on the go. Once she started crawling we knew we were in trouble and now that she’s practically standing on her own and on the verge of walking, she’s ready to take on the world.

What is one thing you don’t want to forget about this stage she is in right now?

Kennedy learns or does something new every day. It’s such a joy to watch as she discovers what new things she can do or accomplish and the absolute joy and satisfaction she gets out of each new discovery. There is no stopping this very determined precious girl.

Miss Kenndy, I hope your celebrations are joyous!  You’re a little doll, and what a treat it is for me to be a part of your special day.  Enjoy your sneak peek!
