Meet Molly! She’s a varsity cheerleader at Grandview High School and she felt the downtown vibe was right for her senior pictures, and I love it! She’s a base, and for anyone that doesn’t know much about cheer positions (like me) you may be interested to know that the base is the foundation when they do stunts (like throwing each other up in the air). It’s the base’s job to lift or throw the flyer. Molly is interested in attending college and has been doing some tours as she narrows down her many options.

Tell me about varsity cheerleading.
I am a base and I am really excited to cheer football games. I have been cheering for 4 years and I really enjoy it.
Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after you graduate?
I am undecided but interested in psychology.
What are some of your favorite childhood memories?
My favorite childhood memories were hanging out with my neighborhood friends everyday.
Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.
I want to finish up my college tours and by the end of the year know what I want to major in
If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
I would tell myself not to be afraid to try things out of your comfort zone.
Molly, I’m excited for you as you embark on a special year of school, and finish up what has probably seemed like a never ending beginning. But all good things come to an end, which only marks the start of something even better. I hope your senior year is amazing!
