High School Senior Portrait Photographer in Castle Rock, Colorado | Brooke

I just adored this session!  The little crinkle in Brooke’s nose was the highlight.  She is a hat girl, and changed my opinion of hats!  It’s not that I don’t like hats, I do.  But the shadow on the face is often a struggle when you’re photographing someone in them.  But somehow, Brooke picked the perfect length brim so that we got the all cuteness, and the beautiful light!  She’s a doll, and her session is among my favorites this year.  Here’s more about Brooke:

Tell me about your love for music.

I have sang upfront at church since I was little. From there, I learned a few instruments, but the ukulele stuck with me. I am the Spiritual Vice (student pastor) at my school, so it is nice that I get to help lead music at my school for chapels.

How has the pandemic changed your thinking about school, your future, or just life in general?

Covid-19 has changed the way people get to connect with each other. From school to sports, everything is different. It has changed the way I have to think when trying to plan events and activities at school. I’ve had to think outside the box more than ever this year, but I have a great group of leaders around me which has really helped.

Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after you graduate?

As of now, I want to become an elementary school teacher.

Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.

I hope to grow closer with the people around me at school despite the current circumstances. I would also love to find small ways to bring the student body together, especially the girls.

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?

I would tell myself to try new things even if it’s scary. There are so many things to experience and learn, and even if you don’t love it, you’ll make memories and have stories to tell from it.

Brooke, I hope this year is INCREDIBLE!  You’ve worked hard, and it will soon pay off.  Best wishes!
