This sweet family is one I adore! I’ve been photographing them for a couple of years now, and what a joy it’s been. You can look back on their last family session here. When they decided that an indoor studio session was right for them this year, I was excited! It was an excellent choice, and you will be able to see why. Those girls’ smiles – on my!! Before I show you their sweet pictures, here’s a little bit from Mom:
How has the pandemic affected your family?
Our family has been very fortunate and minimally impacted. Mark and I work from home so it’s been business as usual. At the beginning our daycare closed and it took a village to help care for the girls, but they have been back to school full-time since August; G. is in Pre-K and I. is in Preppers. Instead of a trip to Florida we planned a local trip to the mountains. We’ve had to cancel ballet, Spanish classes, swimming lessons, and other extracurricular activities, but overall we have been healthy, happy, and enjoying our time at home as a family. I feel we have many blessings to be thankful for and overall we have enjoyed “The Pause.”
What has been your favorite quarantine pastime?
Getting as much outside time as possible whether it’s playing in the playhouse, playing with chalk, blowing bubbles, or taking walks with our pup. We’ve also enjoyed being in the kitchen and baking with the girls.
What are the girls into right now?
G. and I. love dressing up like Disney princesses, coloring and playing with playdough, playing with their baby dolls, pretending to be doctors, and playing hide and seek. It is fun to watch them together using their imagination.
What makes them giggle?
They love to make each other laugh by simply being silly. We love to chase them which makes them giggle. They are also quite ticklish which can bring smiles and deep belly laughs. Their laughs are quite contagious!
Describe what it’s like to be mom to these girls at this sweet stage.
I adore my sweet girls; they are the most joyous gift and I’m so proud to watch them grow and be their Mommy. My daily goal is to make sure they each know how loved and special they are. I try to make sure each has their own dedicated time where they receive undivided attention. I feel this will continue to be important as they grow. I want to keep them little, but with each passing milestone…time keeps moving forward unapologetically. I’m constantly taking it all in and trying to mentally record all the special moments while living in the present.
