Theatre Headshot Photographer in Parker, Colorado

Meet my niece, Brianna!  She’s performed in Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Fiddler on the Roof, Frozen, and Annie!  Plus all the backyard and living room performances over the years which are probably too numerous to count.  I’ve know this beauty her whole life, and my life is richer because she’s in it.  As a young girl, she always had a twinkle in her eye, a smile on her face, and mischief brewing.  Now that she’ll be a junior in high school, her childhood days are maturing.  The young woman she’s becoming, while still playful (I hope she never looses that), is now full of poise, grace, and intention.  When she told me a little bit about her need for some headshots, I was excited to help make it happen!

Tell me about these headshots.

I had a thought to try out a new approach to how I use my acting abilities. Through that came the idea to put an acting resume together and submit it into casting companies.

What has been your experience with theatre/acting so far?

So far I’ve really enjoyed acting. I’ve done a ton of plays with my family and friends just for fun, and I’ve also worked with a theatre group called Audience of One. I’ve loved doing shows with that group because of the community around it as well as the acting itself. I love acting because you get to meet and work with so many people and everyone works together to bring something to the audience. I love to help put on a show for others to make them laugh, or to cry, or just a reality of the message conveyed throughout it all.

How has the pandemic changed your thinking about school, your future, or just life in general?

I know it’s been a big impact on a lot of people including me, but I’d consider myself to be very blessed that I have a job and a roof over my head as well as continuing school. I know that the pandemic has caused a lot of problems and turmoil. But on the other side of that, I believe it brings a lot of opportunities to help others in many ways even if it’s not face to face. I know that can always get hard and annoying sometimes, but I think that there’s no better time than now for any of us to represent ourselves through love and compassion.

Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish this school year.

Right now for me, it’s hard to plan and set goals for myself just because there’s a lot that has changed and is still changing due to COVID-19. But one of the things I hope to accomplish is my time management and how I balance that out this year. I’d like to prove to my father that I can pursue acting and theatre, have a job, and do well in school, all at the same time.

If you could tell your younger self one thing you need to know for your future, what would it be?

Life is hard, and it only gets harder. But if you put God first and have him as the center of your life, then the grace and peace of God will be with you wherever you go. As long as you work hard for the things you love and have the determination to achieve it, with that attitude and effort you can go pretty far in life (also watch out for 2020, it’ll be a ride).

B, you’re amazing!  I pray only the best for your pursuit of acting through a casting company!
