“Do you like her?” It’s the question I get asked the most when I announce my son’s engagement. “Yes, we LOVE her!” I reply with the biggest smile a proud and excited mom can have.
Meet Ben and Zoe. Not only is their story one of faith, grace, love, and strong commitment, but their engagement pictures are straight out of the fairytale book that is being written of their beautiful love story. I couldn’t love them (the pictures and these two love birds) more!!
It was on Thanksgiving Day at sunrise that Benjamin proposed and Zoe said yes! We’ve been doing all things wedding ever since… venues, dress shopping, invitations, and enjoying this extra special season of joy and anticipation when they make their forever commitment before the Lord and become Mr. and Mrs.
This past weekend was finally the right time to capture the snowy engagement pictures we’ve been dreaming about and planning together. And I cannot thank my son enough for putting up with his photographer-mom with such a great attitude and eagerness to please his bride-to-be. Where has Zoe been all these years? He needs her, and she is a wonderful helpmate for him.
It’s no secret that I love my son. But I didn’t realize how easy it would be to love a daughter-in-law. When I consider what I treasure and admire most about Zoe, a number of things come to mind. But nothing rises to the top as much as her love for the Lord, and her love for my son. It’s all a mom could ask and pray for…and in fact I’ve been praying for this young lady long before I knew her. And Benjamin has as well. She is certainly a wonderful answer to our prayers.
