Meet Mary! She’s a senior at Grandview High School and it was such a treat to photograph her. Besides being a natural on camera, she is an aspiring business woman who wants to travel the world! She’s super involved at school, and extra curricular activities. Plus, she serves others. That’s a pretty incredible lineup, and I’m sure it’s only scratching the surface of how amazing Mary is.
Here’s more about Mary!
Tell me about all the things you’re involved with at school?
I am very involved in school, and have always held myself to high expectations. I have taken many AP, CE, and honors classes. Along with that I have been a part of many clubs at Grandview. This includes Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), National Honor Society (NHS), Link Crew, Teens Reaching out to Homeless Teens, and more. My favorite club is FBLA. I have placed in the top three at districts and qualified for state the past three years. I love business, and am so excited for what is to come this year!
Do you have any thoughts on what you’d like to do after you graduate?
After I graduate I want to attend college in either Colorado, Arizona, or Wisconsin. When I am older I hope to work in advertising and travel the world.
What are some of your favorite childhood memories?
Some of my favorite childhood memories would include traveling to see my family for the holidays. Both sides of my family live out of state, so I don’t get to see them a lot. Being able to see them for the holidays made them that much more special growing up. I also liked making teddy bear pizzas with my mom.
Tell me one thing you hope to accomplish your senior year.
This year as a senior I hope to just make as many memories as possible with my friends and family. Senior year is such a special year, and I want to make sure I make the most out of it.
If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
If I could tell my younger self one thing, I would say to have faith in the process. All things will work out if you believe in yourself and put your trust in God.
Mary, you were delightful to photograph, and I am so excited both for your senior year, your future beyond high school, and your sneak peek! Enjoy!
