The best Christmas gift they could ask for was delivered to this grateful family after years of waiting for her arrival. Meet Melina! She’s a beautiful baby girl with a sweet disposition. Her curious eyes peered at me a few times during the session, which I loved! Mom is a pilot, which will explain the aeronautical theme in some of her pictures. Tell me about the anticipation of her arrival.
We were super excited and nervous for her arrival. We have have been married for 14 1/2 years, so it was super scary thinking of how much our lives were going to change but excited to see how they were going to change for the positive. We were cautiously optimistic and didn’t want to get too excited in the beginning due to the fact we had to go through the IVF process. But the closer to her arrival date the more excited we became.
How was your delivery experience?
Up to the point of delivery was smooth because we were induced. Delivery itself took quite a bit of time and we had complications following her birth. But was all worth it in the end.
What does adding Melina to your family of three mean to you?
It is a gift from God. We tried for a long time to have her so her arrival was a blessing.
Describe her personality.
She is so easy-going laid-back and sweet. We couldn’t ask for a better baby!
How much did she weigh at birth?
She was seven pounds, eleven ounces at birth.
