It was a long wait, but her prince charming was worth it. Her one and only wedding was four and a half years ago. E’s heart was complete when B’s family joined hers. B’s children are grown and one of them (J) now has a family of her own! They are one big blended family with lots of love to go around. But the real story began when Grandma and Grandpa were married. Without these two, there wouldn’t be this sweet bunch you see. After twenty seven years of service, Grandpa is now a retired police officer. His bride of fifty years is the sweetest heart you will ever meet and a cancer survivor twenty-nine years ago!
I first met this family a year ago (you can see their session here) and I still remember the laughter that was shared. E tells me this about her family:
“Our family laughs ALOT, as you well know. We are sarcastic and have many “inside” jokes between the lot of us. None of us takes life too seriously. We enjoy family time on Sundays for dinner and holidays. We also love to travel and camp together. As our family grows, it only gets more fun.”
The girls are outnumbered, but every family needs a center point. E & J hold everything together and set the tone for love and fun! In E’s words, “GIRLS RULE [but] the boys are all competitive and challenge each other often with the youngest one in the group, B, coming out the star every time! ”
Another love story sparked four years ago when G & J met. They were married last weekend and are probably somewhere warm and tropical right now celebrating. Their little guy B is the cutest! I’m sure he’ll agree that some more grandchildren are needed soon so he’s not the only kid in the family anymore. <wink> E tells the rest of their heartwarming story: “G is our HERO…medically retired from the army with not one but TWO Purple Hearts. We are all VERY proud of him. G keeps us on our toes and R is our goofy soul!”
