The K Family is back! How has this much time has passed since their little guy was a one year old for our first photo session together? I love seeing them every year! The kids are out of school for the summer and loving life. Later nights, camping trips, s’mores by the fire, and lots of playful fun will fill the memories of their childhood. No doubt their family pictures up on their walls is also shaping the way their sweet kids will look back on their growing up years. I’m so glad the Ks have made this a priority!

Tell me about your family pictures cadence.
We want to make sure that we are capturing each phase of life for our family, so it’s important to us to take family photos often. We have been taking them every 1.5 years, alternating between spring and fall. Children grow and change so quickly, which is why we want to make sure we have memories to look back on as they get older.
What does your family enjoy doing together?
We love to go camping! Whether it’s a quick trip to Chatfield or a long trip to the Grand Tetons, we love to get out of the house, spend time outdoors and sit next to the fire while the sun goes down.
What makes you guys laugh together?
Our kids are the silliest and we laugh a lot. Lately, Mason has had some pretty sweet dance moves, which he loves to show off and is fueled by our laughter.
What is one thing about this season of life that you don’t want to forget?
We don’t want to forget how our children are becoming their own people and figuring out what they love and what makes them special. They are no longer little babies that need mom and dad for everything, but are much more independent and are growing into such amazing kids. It is so fun to watch them grow and see who they are growing into.
Describe what your family means to you.
Our family means everything to us. We work hard and have made decisions that will provide the best life for our children and our family. Spending quality time together is the most important and making sure that our bonds are strong is what we strive for everyday.
