A small flame sparked back in their college town in Illinois. Distance separated them for some time, but a cold wintery December reunited them in Colorado years later. K says, “It was December and Denver was ready for Christmas, it was beautiful.” K (mommy) lived in Tennessee, and C (daddy) lived in Denver. The distance only made their love grow. Their love story came to a climax when little B made his debut in their lives. “Being a mom is better than I could have ever dreamed. I didn’t know love could run this deep until my kids were born. It’s the hardest but most fulfilling experience life has to offer. To literally have your heart walking outside of your body is unexplainable and magical all at the same time.”
Littlest B (number 2) came a few years later – which makes this beautiful family of four complete. They are the D Family. When I asked what they enjoy doing together, mommy K filled me in. “As long as we are together it doesn’t matter! But we love experiencing everything Colorado has to offer. Especially since neither of us grew up here, there are so many places to see and things to do. We love to be outside playing sports, hiking, just being apart of this gorgeous state. Our favorite family place is Breckenridge, we go several times a year. We plan to buy property in the near future and have a mountain home there one day. Sundays are our favorite day together! We cook together as a family and love to watch football; we don’t leave the house on Sundays if we can help it. It’s important for us to stop, be present and have a day each week that’s just for family time.”
Little B is all boy! He loves being outside and getting dirty. Soccer and baseball are his thing! Littlest B is a sassy cutie-patootie who keeps her mom and dad on their toes. She never stops moving and loves being around her brother, whatever he’s doing. She is an animal lover, and mom knows that may mean a few adopted pets in their future! <giggle>
This sweet family is one that I ADORE! It’s been an honor to have them in front of my camera for many years, and I can’t help but melt every shoot we have together. D Family, thank you, thank you! I’m so excited to unveil your sneak peek and the telling of YOUR story. Enjoy!!
